Minimum Commitment: One Year
Position Summary: Partner with one group home to provide support for the children or adults living there. Examples include baking birthday cakes, preparing holiday meals, landscaping, redecorating interior rooms, and participating in community activities. Opportunities also exist for financial sponsorship.

Supply Drives
Minimum Commitment: One supply drive
Position Summary: Many youth enter our programs with little more than the clothes on their back. A backpack filled with items such as slippers, toiletries, personal care items, and books will help these children feel more at home. You can help by gathering these essential items. We provide materials and support throughout your drive.

Done-In-A-Day Projects
Minimum Commitment: One day
Position Summary: A fun way to work together! We’ll help your group find a meaningful project at one of our facilities. Ideas include refurbishing a seclusion room into a cozy, relaxing space; creating wheelchair and walker accessible gardens with raised beds and container gardening; or hosting a social event such as a dance or community event outing.

Chef for a Day

Position Summary: cook one special meal per month for a Kerr group home. Teach residents how to shop for, prepare and present healthy, delicious and special meals.

It's a Great Day to Paint!
Minimum Commitment: Day of Event
Position Summary: Join Albertina Kerr Centers in celebrating the first annual National Day of Service. Help create a wonderful legacy that honors community support and volunteerism for this milestone event! Kerr will be hosting four days of service at the Kerr Thrift Shop, a completely volunteer run and managed business. The entire exterior of the thrift shop needs a fresh coat of paint and you can make it shine! All materials will be provided, including paint, brushes and rollers, drop clothes, etc... Volunteers should have some experience with painting and should also be aware that they may be asked to work off of a ladder. Volunteers can expect to use any of the following equipment: paint, paint brushes and rollers, sand paper, scrapers, hammers, caulk and paint trays. Volunteers will be given unlimited cold drinks but should bring a sack lunch.
