Albertina Kerr Centers Foundation Classic Golf Tournament Minimum Commitment: Day of event Position Summary: Join us for a fun, two-day event at classic Wilf’s Restaurant downtown and the beautiful Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club On Thursday, September 16, volunteers are needed to assist with cashiering and Golden Ticket Sales. On Friday, September 17 volunteers are needed from 10:30a.m. – 3:30p.m. or 3p.m. – 8p.m. All Volunteers will receive a sack lunch, Kerr Angels t-shirt and the opportunity to spend a day on the beautiful course. Race for the Roses Minimum Commitment: Day of event Position Summary: Volunteers "run" the race. Provide essential support for close to 5,000 runners and walkers in Portland’s largest half marathon, 10K and 5K run/walk. You will be in the midst of the action, hosting an aid station or handing out medals and roses at the finish line. Coffee and snacks will be provided. The Kerr Games Minimum Commitment: Day of Event Position Summary: Are you interested in volunteering for of our upcoming event, The Games? The event is a unique project produced by staff, volunteers and the people served by Kerr to help children be and stay healthy and active. This year's Fall event will be taking place on September 29th at the Hillsboro Stadium. The Games include tag football, basketball, capture the flag and many other fun activities and sports. Guests will include community supporters, volunteers and staff. The all-important youth, served by Kerr, will become our sports superstars as they participate in activities and learn teamwork, social skills, good sportsmanship and the fun of being active. The day promises to be filled with exciting activities, sports and fun! Holiday Giving Minimum Commitment: Day of Event Position Summary: Holiday Giving is a special opportunity for businesses, individuals and volunteers in our community to join together to benefit the people served by Kerr. The process starts with a Giving Tree and a wish list for the 1,700 children, families and adults served by Kerr. Each wish is recorded on a tag and placed on a Kerr Giving Tree. Donors can fulfill individual wishes, or work with a group to collect all the gifts. Volunteers deliver the new, unwrapped gifts to Kerr and our staff wraps each one, making sure everyone has something for the holidays, whether they are with family or celebrating with the Kerr staff. For some, this is the first time they will receive a present during the holidays, but for everyone, this one simple gift truly represents the magic of the season. Safeway Classic Amateur Golf Tournament Minimum Commitment: day of event Position Summary: The Safeway Classic is different from many other tournaments. Tournament proceeds go directly to children's charities, providing critical care for Oregon’s youth. By providing volunteers during the tournament, Kerr will be able to receive some of those much needed funds. Volunteers will occupy hospitality tents along the course and be right in the middle of the action! Volunteers will be served either breakfast or lunch, depending on shift choice and receive a new Kerr Angels polo shirt to show of your wings!
