Private donations and community support make this vital work possible, and there are many ways YOU can help:
- Annual or Monthly Gifts
- Volunteering at special events, on projects, in the office or with programs
- In-Kind Gifts enrich the lives of children and adults in our program
- Corporate Involvement opportunities include event and program sponsorships, employee giving campaigns, one-day-projects and volunteer opportunities.
- Kerr Guardian Society members include Albertina Kerr Centers in their estate plans or create a life income gift.
- Champions For Kerr Gift Society members contribute at least $1,000 annually and provide a continuing source of unrestricted support.
Some examples of how the community is supporting us right now include
- Nike has donated swimsuits for every child in the Girl's Residential Program, making sure they can enjoy swim lessons this summer.
- Heffernan Insurance Brokers has become the first Partner in Kerr's new Adopt-A-Home program, committing to a year of financial assistance to the Rhone Street group home for adults with developmental disabilities. In addition, Heffernan employees are donating their time to paint, garden and visit residents to help celebrate holidays and special occasions.
- The 500 volunteers of The Old Kerr Nursery Association operate Albertina's Restaurant & Shops for the benefit of Kerr's programs. These four businesses have been operating since 1981 and have donated more than $7 million to Kerr in that time.
