Private donations and community support make this vital work possible, and there are many ways YOU can help:
- Annual or Monthly Gifts
- Volunteering at special events, on projects, in the office or with programs
- In-Kind Gifts enrich the lives of children and adults in our program
- Corporate Involvement opportunities include event and program sponsorships, employee giving campaigns, one-day-projects and volunteer opportunities.
- Kerr Guardian Society members include Albertina Kerr in their estate plans or create a life income gift.
- Champions For Kerr Gift Society members contribute at least $1,000 annually and provide a continuing source of unrestricted support.
Some examples of how the community is supporting us right now include
- Nike Back Your Block provided a grant to support the March 2010 Kerr Games at the Multnomah Athletic Club. Held twice a year, The Games is a whole day of fun sports and actvities and has become the most popular event for the children and teens in our group homes for youth.
- More than 500 volunteers of The Old Kerr Nursery Association operate Albertina's Restaurant & Shops for the benefit of Albertina Kerr's programs. These four businesses have been operating since 1981 and have donated more than $7.5 million to Albertina Kerr in that time.
